Industrial Visit

Industrial Visit

Agnel School of Law had organized an Educational Tour to Delhi – Manali – Amritsar from 3rd March 2020 to 11th March 2020. It was our very first industrial visit organized by our college due to the efforts taken by our In-charge Principal Prof. Kevin Tauro.

The highlight of the tour was the visit to The Supreme Court of India and The Parliament of India. With the blessing and the presence of Rev.Fr Almeida (Managing Director) and our In charge Principal Prof. Kevin Tauro; Agnel School of Law organized the tour in collaboration with Vivaan Tours Private Ltd. I/C Principal Kevin Tauro Sir personally arranged and managed to get all the necessary permissions from the relevant authorities to organize the visit.

The sole objective of this tour was to get insights into the Operation of the Supreme Court, the Bar Council of India, and the Parliament of India. To enlighten the students with the contemporary legal proceedings and the etiquettes of the courtroom of the highest honorary court and to observe senior advocates and veteran judges while taking up a matter into the court. We had the opportunity to visit The Supreme court judges’ library, consisting of a vast variety of judicial literature. A museum consisting of many significant memorabilia relating to the Supreme Court since its inception. Such as the Chair structure from the colonial times until today, information about the Honorable Chief justices from the beginning until present time. Also, we watched a documentary about the Supreme Court, which was a brief presentation of important historical facts. All in all this particular visit was not just rich virtues of the Court but also euphoric as it made us learn so much about this great institution. After having all the satisfaction of the mind, we decided to have lunch to satisfy our bellies in the Supreme Court’s canteen. Then we proceeded to visit the Bar Council of India, the statutory body which regulates the legal practice and legal education throughout India.

Post Delhi, we headed to Manali where we were accommodated in Citrus Hotel and we had various team building activities in the snow clad area and a DJ night too. We experienced the Solang Valley, Hidimba Temple, Kullu river rafting and great shopping experience at the Mall Road with special local cuisine.

At Amritsar, we visited The Golden Temple shining with its white marble, in-laid with eye striking precious colorful stones. Inside the temple we had to cover our head and remove the footwear before entering into premises as a mark of respect. The melodies of Gurbani music and the view of Amrit Sarovar (pool of nectar) cleansed our minds and we felt calm in the spiritual environment. After praying to Nanak dev ji, we had the prasad that is offered every day at Guru Ka Langar, where no one goes hungry. After the visit to temple, we did some shopping at nearby market. We also celebrated the Holi Festival there during the tour and felt like a family outing experience.

We all returned home with sweet memories which we will cherish for our lives. We were thankful to our College, Rev.Fr. Almeida and our I/C Principal Prof. Kevin Tauro Sir for organizing such an amazing trip for us all.
